Early Wednesday morning, First Lady Melania Trump shared a very special moment with her fans on Twitter. Mrs. Trump and her husband, President Donald Trump set off to visit some of our brave service men and women with a trip to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Langley-Eustis & the USS George HW Bush Aircraft Carrier today.
Here’s what she had to say:
“We are off to visit some of our brave men & women in uniform today & thank them for their service. I’ll be visiting Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Langley-Eustis & the #USSGeorgeHWBush aircraft carrier today. Looking forward to meeting everyone! #USA”
Included in the tweet was an inside look at the life of the First Lady and what she gets to experience. The video created a reaction in one Twitter follower that summed up exactly how we all feel:
“FIRST LADY MELANIA. WE LOVE IT WHEN WE CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE SAME THINGS YOU DO. MAKES US FELL SO MUCH CLOSER TO OUR FIRST FAMILY. 💕💕💕💕”
Recently, First Lady Melania has been very active in her role, spreading love and cheer throughout the country to those who need it most.
In an act of pure graciousness, First lady Melania Trump spent some time giving back to the community by visiting with children and the USMC on Tuesday. The visit was in part to help promote their Toys For Tots drive.
Mrs. Trump tweeted out a collection of wonderful photos, each more beautiful than the one before. Of course, our First lady was as stunning as ever, wearing a beautiful red, white, and blue plaid shirt and dark pants.
Included with the photos was the caption:
“Enjoyed spending time with children & the @USMC at their annual @ToysForTots_USA drive. Thank you to everyone who came out to help in this wonderful opportunity to give back! #MerryChristmas”
She spent most of her time interacting with the young ones in the crowd. But she also took some time to shake hands and chat with fine members of our military and others in the crowd.
This isn’t the first time this holiday season that Mrs. Trump has been lovely enough to share some cheers with those in need. Most recently, during the somber moments of the late George HW Bush, Melania opened her heart and the doors to the White House for the entire Bush family (and in particular to laura Bush) to take in the Christmas decorations.
Laura Bush was quick to thank the current first lady for her kindness and generosity:
